Castle and walls

Monteriggioni

Monteriggioni lies on the summit of a gentle hill with slopes planted with vineyards and olive trees.

The city still retains most of the structures of the thirteenth century and is configured as an absolutely unique place in the panorama of the medieval Tuscan villages with its castle and walls, made of stone, with a linear development of about 570 meters.

Fifteen towers with a rectangular plan stand out.
